Two Greyhounds and a Wedding
Almost everyone that reads this already knows how special greyhounds are and how much they change our lives. Everyone has their own story of greyhound love and addiction and whenevr we can, we try to pass those stories on to you. This is a story about Caroline and Ray Gutierrez. From here I'll leave you with Caroline's words.
"Ray and I stumbled upon our first greyhounds at a meet and greet at a pet store in Blacksburg, Virginia. We were hooked. For two years we went to every meet and greet nearby to get our greyhound fix. At the conclusion of our university work, we were finally ready for our own. Ray and I adopted Gumby from Greyhound Adoption of Greater Cincinnati. It only took us a few days to realize he was by himself for the first time in his life. He was terribly lonely! A few months later, the three of us drove from southern Virginia to NGAP to let him pick out a sister. Secret was the only greyhound he didn’t growl at.
Our wedding took place on my family farm in Staunton, Va. Gumby wore a bow tie, and Secret wore pearls and a pink tutu. Ray and I can’t imagine our little family without our greyhounds. We’re thrilled to have them."
