Greyhound Picnic

Picnic Information:

Sunday, September 29, 2013
12 noon - 3 pm
National Greyhound
Adoption Program
10901 Dutton Road
Philadelphia, PA 19154

On Sunday, September 29, 2013, National Greyhound Adoption Program will be holding its annual picnic. Bring your greyhounds and see what's new!

You may bring your own food or purchase a hearty meal at our facility.

Buy a $7.50 platter and select from:

BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich
Grilled Hot Dog with Sauerkraut
Peel & Eat Shrimp (no full plates of shrimp, please!)
Basil Pesto Pasta & Veggie Salad
Cole Slaw
Baked Beans
Soda or Water

Trade in your dinner plate for a dessert plate and pick up some cake and brownies!

Platter tickets will be sold at the table along with $10 nail clipping tickets. No appointments are necessary for nail clipping.

Hopefully some of our new doctors will be here to greet you, including our acupuncturist, Dr. Kristin McCann. In addition to acupuncture, we have also been treating dogs with laser therapy, which is totally non-invasive and has helped many dogs recuperating from surgery as well as dealing with the pains of old age. Please call the clinic at 215-331-2968 to discuss either of these services.

For anyone that is not aware, Dr. Philip Zeltzman is doing orthopedic surgery by appointment at our facility. He has already done several orthopedic surgeries this year at a substantial savings over specialty facilities - sometimes as much as 50% less. He is a frequent contributor to many veterinary publications. Please call the clinic at 215-331-2968 for more information or to schedule a consultation.

Tagg Pet GPS

Available for demonstration and purchase is the new Tagg Pet GPS system. This device attaches to your dog's collar and tracks it's whereabouts through a PC or a mobile device. The Tagg Pet GPS will be available for $75.00 between now and the day of the picnic only. That's $25 off the price at other retailers and $15 off our regular price of $90! You get three months of free service upon activation and then pay only $7.95 per month for the first dog and $1.95 per month for each additional registered unit up to 10. That's a small price to pay for peace of mind. To learn more about Tagg Pet GPS, click the link below.

We hope to have golf shirts and other apparel at specially discounted prices. Those who spend a minimum of $25 in our store will receive a free bag of Wellness Simple. Those who spend a minimum of $100 will receive a free bag of Wellness Simple AND a coupon for 10% off surgical/dental procedures.

While here, please take note that all of our old sand runs have been converted to concrete. This was a huge step in cleanliness and the elimination parasites being spread throughout the kennel. These concrete runs were a huge investment, which cost us over $50,000.00. We also changed all of the interior fencing and corrected drainage issues at the same time. The fencing is now all aluminum posts. The galvanized steel posts that we previously used were deteriorating much more quickly than we anticipated. The aluminum should last forever. Your support enables us to do these giant projects. Everyone that has visited our facility has been very impressed. We hope you are, too.

If you wish to donate any items that we can sell, please bring them in ahead of time. NGAP is still accepting car donations. Drive one in and leave it behind!!!
