Help Greyhounds: Donate your timeVolunteers are so important to us here at the National Greyhound Adoption Program! We have a wide variety of activities you can participate in. Whether you are donating your time or a specialized skill, you can commit to whatever size project fits your schedule and interest. Please call our office Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm if you are interested in volunteering. Walk Our Dogs!NGAP always appreciates volunteers that can come and walk our dogs. Greyhounds love human companionship, exercise, and affection and you could help give them that while they wait for their new permanent home! Come partake in a leisurely stroll and get some fresh air - we bet you'll enjoy the walk as much as our greyhounds! Our kennel is located at: 10901 Dutton Road Click here for directions to our kennel >> Dog walking times are as follows: You do not need to call ahead or schedule an appointment to walk our dogs unless you are coming with a large group (10+ people). Just show up during the specified walking hours and let one of our staff members know that you are here to walk the dogs. They will be happy to assist you. Young children may walk our dogs along with an adult using a double leash system. Meet & Greet!NGAP is always looking for greyhound owners willing to show off their greyt pets at Meet & Greet's. Local pet stores, community fairs and school events are all great places to spread the word about greyhound adoption. NGAP will provide you with any literature you may need. Spread the WordIf you know you will be attending any large community event with your greyhound or regularly come in contact with people interested in greyhound adoption, please contact us and we will ship you National Greyhound Adoption Program brochures and other various literature to hand out. Fundraising EventsNGAP participates in various community events to raise money for our kennel and clinic and to spread the word about our adoption program. Dog related events, community days and flea markets usually allow our volunteers to bring their greyhounds. If there is an event in your community that is well attended, please tell us about it!NGAP also has numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year preparing for, and staffing, events and other projects.
