Profile

Chooka is an Italian greyhound/beagle mix that was rescued from a hoarding situation. We guesstimate that he is between the ages of 2 and 4. He is friendly and very sweet but it will take time for him to warm up to new people and this will need to be done at his own pace. Because of this lack of confidence, we do not recommend that he go to a home with young children. Teenagers would be fine. Chooka is very active and will need a lot of exercise. He is crate trained and will need to be crated when you are not home because he likes to get into things. Aside from being absolutely adorable, Chooka is very lively and entertaining. He's a real clown. He loves to play and loves, loves, loves toys! He is not a licker (for those of you that do not like a dog that is constantly in your face) but enjoys neck and butt scratches immensely. He would be fine in a home with other dogs and cats but will need to be fed separately. One of the greatest things about Chooka is that he is a very food motivated. He will pretty much do anything for treats. He was the first to learn the commands sit, down, wait and inside (the crate) and he will not jump on you if you don't tolerate it. We suggest that anyone that is interested in adopting Chooka contact Barb or Bobbie at 215-331-7918 and schedule a few meetings with him so that you have a chance to get to know one another before you decide take him home. Please consider Chooka! He is a great little dog that has the potential to be an amazing companion for someone that is willing to put in the effort.
