Remembering Merci
Merci Riccardi was a dedicated NGAP volunteer for many, many years. Sadly, she passed away at 9:30pm on Friday, May 21st. I would hope that those of us that knew her well will remember her for all of the things she did for so long to vigorously promote greyhound adoption.
I first met Merci in the early 1990's at a pizza restaurant. From the very beginning, Merci put all of her efforts into helping NGAP in her own way. In addition to promoting greyhound adoption, Merci also personally adopted epileptic greyhounds, and I know of no one else that would take on such challenges willingly. Each of her NGAP greyhounds had distinctive candy names such as Hershey Kisses, Snickers, Tootsiee and Reeses!
Merci has left this earth to be with her beloved greyhounds that have gone before her. I hope everyone will take a moment to honor her memory by remembering all of the wonderful things about her.

The memorial service for Merci will be Saturday, June 5 at 10 am. It will be at Laurel Memorial Park in Cardiff on Tilton Rd. I believe, but am not positive, that it is Tilton Rd between Pomona Rd and the airport circle.
